Shimano’s state-of-the-art distribution centre at Caringbah in Sydney’s Sutherland Shire features impressive automation technology which enables Shimano to enhance the quality of their service, and reduce distribution costs.
Whilst fast-moving SKUs are handled by a Dematic Multishuttle system and Goods-to-Person workstations, slower moving, split-case SKUs are stored within a combination of shelving and selective pallet racking, and picked using a Voice-directed picking system.
